Hey y'all! My name is Marissa and I am the author and creator of this Blog called "Endo Teacher". As the name suggests I am a teacher who lives with a disorder called Endometriosis. I plan to do a post on each of these parts of my life to give everyone a background before starting my teaching, healthy lifestyle and Endometriosis posts. First I want to introduce myself! I am 25 years old and grew up in a small town in Southern Minnesota. I attended college at the University of Minnesota Duluth and received a Bachelors Degree in Integrated Elementary and Special Education. Since then I have also received two Master's Degrees in the areas of Special Education and Elementary Education from the Minnesota State University Mankato, as well as a Math Certificate. My first teaching position was teaching Kindergarten through Fifth grade Special Education at a small school district in Southern Minnesota. I serviced students under all disability categories. While teaching in Minnesota I also coached High School Cheerleading for two seasons. After three years of teaching in Minnesota I made the move to Phoenix Arizona where I currently teach Special Education Preschool. This will be my second year in Preschool and I love it! I have been teaching for 4 years now and begin my 5th next week. In my free time I like to travel, go hiking, bake, cook, read, and craft. I also enjoy spending time with my cat and binging TV shows and watching movies. Stay tuned for more posts on my teaching experiences, my health journey with Endometriosis, and healthy living tips!
