We just finished our Monster Theme! Instead of doing Halloween activities we spent all of October doing monster activities. Students love this theme and it is also one of my favorites! Below are some of the songs I used during Circle Time and the activities we did.

Songs

These songs are too perfect not to share! YouTube has the perfect Days of the Week, Months of the Year, Weather and Morning Song with monsters!

Activities

Play-dough Monster

Students made a ball using Playdoh. Then they added googly eyes and pipe cleaners for legs.

Feed the Monster

We had the paper plate ready to go with the mouth cut out. Students painted their monster. Then we added eyes to their monster. After, we used these monsters and "feed" them letters, numbers, shapes and colors throughout the month.

Paper Bag Monster

Students glued the pieces on the paper bag to make a Paper Bag Monster.

Painting Pumpkins

Students painted their pumpkin. The pumpkins were donated by families! Then on our Fall Harvest Day students took a picture with their pumpkin.

Monsters is one of my favorite themes! I hope you find these activities helpful and useful in your classroom! Our next theme is Farm and I am so excited to share the activities we do during the next theme with you all!
